The Mission of Orange County Coastkeeper is to protect and preserve the region’s watersheds and marine habitats through education, advocacy, restoration, research, and enforcement. Its ultimate vision is to preserve the integrity of our communities by ensuring clean waterways, harbors and coastal waters, along with a healthy water supply for generations to come.
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education.
From 1918 to the present a unique partnership between the University of California, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the County of Orange, Cooperative Extension was originally created to provide vital research-based information to growers and their families in this agriculturally rich community. Almost a hundred years later the Cooperative Extension, relying on the research base of the University of California, has continued to meet the dynamic needs of Orange County through education and training.
